Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife team Heather and Mike Banks, Cary Paul Studios has grown from residential remodels into a multidisciplinary design and construction studio working across Central Austin.
Construction runs deep in their roots: Heather’s father, Paul, built a thriving remodeling business after starting as a framer, while Mike’s father, Cary, spent four decades building homes in San Antonio. Their legacies shaped Heather’s eye for design and transformation and Mike’s expertise in quality construction and project management.
Today, Heather and Mike bring those complementary strengths to interior design, construction management, real estate acquisition and investment, and staging. Known for seeing possibility where others may not, they approach each project with creativity, hands-on experience, and a respect for Austin’s architectural character—along with a particular love for mid-century modern and 1970s design.

Our staging approach goes beyond simply filling rooms with nice furniture. We use thoughtful layouts, vintage furniture and objects, art, color, and texture to highlight a home's architecture and create an emotional connection with buyers. Drawing on our experience in both design and real estate, we present each property in a way that feels aspirational, welcoming, and unforgettable.
